On the weekend the famous Maui 2 Molokai Race took place. While it is known as the World’s Funnest Downwinder, conditions weren’t exactly firing though. The wind only picked up for the second half of the 27 mile (43km) crossing while the first half was a bit of a side-wind slog. With this, the first half of the race was very tricky but when the wind turned on and bumps started rolling in the second half of the race it started getting really fun. Fanatic’s Angela Jackson claimed victory in the 14′ class of the women’s race as well as a 5th place overall against the unlimiteds. Congratulations and very well done!
“What an Amazing day 42.8km across the channel from Maui to Molokai. Super happy with 3hr 59min in not so windy conditions. Managed 1st 14ft and came in a good 5th overall against unlimiteds. So stoked!”
