The first impression
The NewWave Twin Team Edition at 84 liters is the biggest of the three sizes in the twin
range, the 2 smaller being the 72 & 78 liter models. The Twinsers are only available in a high
quality Team Edition with light finish look. The fittings of this board are excellent. Good straps,
excellent pads and 2 16,5 cm long G-10 fins, developed by MFC. It´s quite different in shape to
its family members NewWave & AllWave, rounder and more compact. The tail runs out in a
sharp pintail, the rails are thin and sharp. The bottom is not so easy to explain: the shape is a
straight V in the nose and gets concave right in front of the mast track. The mono concave
runs through to the tail and is double concave inside. The concaves are very strong under the
front footsrap position and get more flat towards the tail. This combination makes the board
fast and easy to control.

Sailing characteristics
It´s getting into a plane as fast as the other Twinsers we tested in the previous issue. It´s
planing easy, fast and also masters gusts without a problem. The fins never lose direction and
also non-specialists will have a lot of fun with this board. Experts will be for sure very happy
with the high end performance of the board. If needed, this board accelerates to a perfect
speed and flies away from all other Twinser colleagues. Especially in good North Sea
conditions you can accelerate very well between two waves. In our opinion the fastest Twinser
in the expert category. But you also have to be concentrated while flying over the water, but
you can also go one gear back and cruise more relaxed if it´s getting too much. That´s what
gives it a wide range of use.

Manoeuvre abilities
Sensational. More we wouldn´t have to write. It actually doesen´t matter how good you are, if
you steer over the front or back foot, or if you prefer tight or wide turns. The NW Twin takes
everything and is just the best of it´s class. The rails grip excellent and thanks to its balanced
volume distribution, tight turns are possible without stopping the board. Even in choppy
conditions the board is not flying out of the curve.

Fazit
In our opinion one of the best Twinser boards on the market. Thanx to it
versatility, wave beginners as well as experts will have unlimited fun on the water with this
board. Our favourite. Highly recommended!
