Angie Jackson paddled like a machine this weekend at the Bilbao World SUP Challenge and took out both, the Sprints and the Long Distance Race, which means she claimed the overall event title! Her hard training back home in Australia during the winter month is clearly paying off!
Jake Jensen was convincingly winning his heats and semi final in typical Jake style at the Sprints yesterday, leading from the front. An unfortunate technical issue with his paddle made him only finish 6th in the Sprints. However today at the Long Distance he was in top shape again and was only half a board length behind the winner Zane Scheitzer at the finish line, which puts him overall in 3rd!
Also Olivia Piana did a great run at the Sprints yesterday and finished 3rd right behind Sonni Hönscheid! Today she came 4th in the Long Distance and is now 4th overall for the event.
Jacko had a great run at the Sprints, where he finished 2nd, just a board length behind the winner Casper Steinfath. In the Long Distance he did well too coming in 8th with the top 8 men together right to the final sprint, which put him overall in 6th!
The Fanatic team riders are looking fit & strong there – well done to all!!
