A Boy´s Journey

BOBO GALLAGHER

11 year old Bobo Gallagher was crossing the Alenuihaha channel with his Wing Foil gear. Bobo is not only the youngest, but also the first person to cross this channel. It is located between Maui and Big Island and is known as one of the most dangerous channels in the world. Spanning almost 30 miles between the big island and Maui, reaching a max depth of 6,810 feet, “Alenuihaha” means “great billows smashing” in the Hawaiian language and is not a body of water to be taken lightly. With the help of his family and huge community of supporters, many of who are renowned Hawaiian watermen, he successfully managed this journey.

To share the best moments, Bobo and his team released a video called  “A Boy’s Journey; Crossing the Alenuihaha”.
