The Pacific Paddle Games presented by Salt Life at Doheny State Beach were thundering. The world’s best paddlers have gathered in Dana Point, California, October 6-7, 2018 to test their abilities against each other in rising south swell.
The event offered the biggest celebration of paddling in the sport and featured Technical and Distance races (in both Pro and Open divisions), including Pro Junior and Youth categories, Prone divisions, the largest Demo Zone in the sport, Clinics, a $60,000 prize purse (the largest in the sport), and much more. There was something for every level of paddler at the Pacific Paddle Games, whether it’s a first-timer getting on the water, a family of paddlers competing in their different age groups or the best racers in the world going toe-to-toe. Everyone was welcome!
There were two divisions for races: Open (age group) and Pro (Elite). The Open divisions are for athletes who compete at a non-professional level.
We are super happy that Fanatic´s Arthur Arutkin finished 4th in the Long Distance, 3rd in the Surf Race and 3rd Overall! Also well done to the rest of the team like Christian Andersen, Tom Auber and Davide Ionico for fighting hard during the races.
