Stage 5

Stand Up for Safe Water

About 250 kilometers north from Lyon Thomas Oschwald left the river Saône and continued his tour on the French channels. A characteristic for these original transport routes are the numerous ship locks, which you can´t pass with a SUP board. On average every 2 kilometers Thomas had to carry his complete equipment around those obstacles. At a daily distance of 50 kilometers, he met more than 20 locks every day, which kept him busy to carry his gear for more than two hours every day - quite impressive.

Anyone who wants to get involved in clean drinking water and support Thomas Oschwald's drinking water project will find all the important information on the Teach & Travel website.
