Adrien Bosson is the new Freestyle World Champion 2022!

Adrien put on an amazing show in the freestyle discipline to get himself the event and world title. Adrien almost managed that in 2018 after winning the Single Elimination on Sylt as well, but back then he lost out in a Super Final against his former team mate Gollito Estredo!

Results PWA Freestyle Sylt & 2022 Overall:

1st Adrien Bosson | FRA (Fanatic / Duotone / Maui Ultra Fins)
2nd Jacopo Testa | ITA (AV Boards / Point-7 / AL360)
3rd Steven Van Broeckhoven | BEL (Starboard / GUNSAILS)

Adrien Bosson, PWA Freestyle World Champion 2022 after winning the Super Final against Jacopo Testa:

"It´s unbelievable I finally got the World Champion title. I would have never thought I can win. Jacopo is almost unbeatable in this kind of conditions and it was so close - only 0,1 points! It was my last manoeuvre that made the difference and I am happy I kept going even though the conditions were mega tough. So happy!"

Victor Fernandez finished 3rd place in the PWA Wave Overall ranking 2022!

Victor constantly performed on top level during the 2022 season and now finished 4th on Sylt which put him 3rd Overall for the year. It´s been another great year with Victor in our team - it never gets boring to watch his sailing and definitely a real pleasure to work with him  for all those years!

Marc Paré finished in 2nd place at the PWA Tour on Sylt and finally his well deserved podium spot became reality!

Marc: "I am unbelievably happy to finally be standing on the podium after years of training and hard work!!! Thanks to all my family, sponsors and friends, for helping me achieve my dreams and goals! I’m excited for more and to keep giving it my best!"

Fanatic’s Klaas Voget actively competed more than 22 years in the PWA World Tour. After the Sylt event he officially ends his career as professional windsurfer and officially competet for the last time.

To the thunderous applause of the spectators, Birgit Ballhause from the organizing agency Act Agency presented Klaas the official winner's cup of the event, the obligatory champagne and a lifetime access ticket for the VIP area of the Mercedes-Benz Windsurf World Cup Sylt as a memento. "Klaas has been an absolute showcase professional for the sport of windsurfing for 23 years and has thrilled the fans here on Sylt for many years. We wish him and his family all the best for the future," so Birgit.

Klaas: "Happy with a 9th place at my final event competing on the PWA World Tour. Thanks for all the warm words and messages, as well as the career award! Windsurfing is an amazing family and I’m thankful to be part of it!"

Fanatic boss Craig Gertenbach also came to watch his last official heat - sad to say good bye to one of his best riders but at the same time looking forward that Klaas has now more time to take care of his office duties in the Fanatic and Duotone Wing Foiling department: -)
