Double victory for Nia Suardiaz

What an amazing start to the new season for Nia Suardiaz!

She took out both – the women’s Surf-Freestyle and the FreeFly-Slalom discipline at the GWA World Cup Kick-Off in New Tauranga, New Zealand.

Surf-Freestyle

In the women’s freestyle finals, the young Spanish rider Nia Suardiaz and Bowien van der Linden from the Netherlands were matched up for an intense heat. Nia achieved three solid scores and managed to gain an advantage over Bowien, allowing her to claim her first event win of the 2023 season.

The final results for the women’s Surf-Freestyle discipline are:

1st Nia Suardiaz ES
2nd Bowien van der Linden NL
3rd Orane Ceris FR

WOMEN

FREEFLY-SLALOM

For the penultimate day of the women’s FreeFly-Slalom Nia Suardiaz took impressive 5 elimination wins and set the ground for her second victory on the final day of the first GWA World Cup of the season followed by local Aimee Bright from New Zealand.

 

The final results for the women’s FreeFly-Slalom discipline are:

2nd Aimee Bright NZ
3rd Bowien van der Linden NL
