Stage 10

Stand Up for Safe Water

Thomas Oschwald knew that the current would be a daily companion on the 1233 kilometers to the source of the Rhine. But he did not expect that the headwind would make it so hard, especially at stage 10 of his SUP mission for safe drinking water. To paddle against the current of the Rhine in strong headwinds was mostly only possible while sitting on the board. Bridging the unfavorable winds with some rest days was not an option as the forecasts did not show any improvement. Only during the night the winds stopped and so his days started at 2 in the morning.

Anyone who wants to get involved in clean drinking water and support Thomas Oschwald's drinking water project will find all the important information on the Teach & Travel website.
