PWA Slalom World Cup Hvide Sande

Pierre Mortefon 2nd! Marion Mortefon 3rd!

The PWA Slalom World Cup in Hvide Sande saw a couple of exciting matches for the podium!  It has been a fantastic week of racing  with the sailors facing the arguably their toughest test of the season with such a diverse range of conditions on offer - from light to flat to nuclear windy and extremely choppy.

The battle for the event title was down to a two-horse race between fellow world title contenders - Matteo Iachino (Starboard / Severne) and Pierre Mortefon (Fanatic / Duotone / Chopper Fins) - whoever would win out of the two heavyweights would then take the world title lead heading into the final event of the year in New Caledonia. Pierre finished 2nd and is now close behind Matteo, let´s see!

Marco Lang (Fanatic / Duotone / Chopper Fins) earns his best result since 2017 - 5th - after finishing fifth in the last race of the week.

In the women´s fleet, the main battle on the final day was between Jenna Gibson (Fanatic / Duotone) and Marion Mortefon (Fanatic / Duotone) for the final place on the podium. In the end Marion finished 3rd and Jenna 4th.
