Last weekend, Gruissan again witnessed the coming together of hundreds of professional windsurfers for the famous Défi Wind, an event that attracts athletes all around the world. Participants were coming from different countries in Europe, as well as Israel and as far as New Zealand and South Korea. Team Fanatic France was there as well with our riders really hitting it!
French Young Gun Thomas Goyard (22) was successfully fighting against the fastest racers with 50knots of wind coming in second in the category of Men between 20 – 29 years and also making it to an incredibly great 8th place overall! Well done also to Gerald Pelleau who came in 2nd in the Men’s category between 40 – 49 years and claiming 6th place overall. Also our youngest French riders did score: Jimmy Thiémé won the men’s race of the 13 – 15 year-olds and William Huppert made it to 2nd place in the race of the 16 – 19 year-olds. Last but not least Estelle Barre came in third in the women’s race.
Well done to all our riders and a big thanks to Team Fanatic France for beeing at the event representing the brand there!
