Stage 7

Stand Up for Safe Water

When Thomas Oschwald arrived at the mouth of the Rhine 1.600km south from Rotterdam, his body was completely exhausted. However, since the wind forecast was very good, he immediatly started to fight against the current of the Rhine without a day off. Thanks to the strong tail wind and barely any current, he was able to cover more than 100km in two days. Eventually the wind dropped, and with increasing current, his average distance dropped to 30-40km per day.

Anyone who wants to get involved in clean drinking water and support Thomas Oschwald's drinking water project will find all the important information on the Teach & Travel website.
