Date of Birth:
Zandvoort, The Netherlands
SUP race ( I prefer beachrace, but also flat water), and of course also SUP wave riding (and just got into windsurf)
Fanatic Strike, Falcon & ProWave
Competition ranking you’re most proud of:
3 times Dutch Champion Beachrace 2014, 2016, 2017, 3th in World CUP Germany 2016, first women who did 11 city non-stop & competing in world championships 2017
Your favourite contest and why:
ttle of the Coast, because it’s always hectic, wavy, rough and at my home spot! Or the downwind SUP races in Cape Town for the same reason ;)
Your favourite SUP adventure:
11 city non stop as first women, surfing Big Waves in Maui/Cape Town, or going out ion the biggest day’s on the North Sea.
Number one on your bucket list:
Red Bull Heavy water, PPG, IRON MANA and some ocean crossings or other adventures;)
I love …
... day’s with a lot of action, sports, learning new things, training, racing, working hard while having fun! Surfing waves, training flath water, running up and down mountains and being happy tired at the end of the day;)
I hate ...
... waiting, coldness and loosing competitions if I could do better!
As a superhero I would:
Dream about SUP beachrace coming Olympic and being able to compete there…
For the perfect SUP day there has to be:
Either waves for wave riding with wave board/race board or empty huges lakes without any wind ór with a lot of wind for the downwinds;) So there are a lot of perfect SUP day’s. But the day’s when there is nobody else on the SUP beacause it’s to windy or to extreme, those are the best!
If you could be an animal, what would it be?
A dog; always’s happy, you can trust them, fast, strong, making fun.
If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
Sprinting speeds;) Because that’s my weakness in sport, I have power and endurance but the sprint/acceleration is something I have to work on!
