Prowave LTD, and I love it!

I am from Cádiz, in the South of Spain. I’ve been always by the sea, watching my brothers and dad windsurfing, surfing or diving. I’ve been windsurfing with them on their boards since I was a baby. And since I was 8, I started to do water sports. I liked all kinds, and did windsurfing in a high level competition since I was 14.
I discovered surfing very late in my life, like around 23. I did bodyboard before, but surfing was looking too difficult for me and I never tried it. Then I met the mum of a good friend, who was 66 and she was learning to surf! That was a lesson to me! It is never too late. I started surfing with a long board… 3 years ago, when I was in Maui for windsurfing, we had few weeks with no wind. And I asked my friend Florian Jung to borrow his SUP and from that moment I could not stop… I was the happiest person on the planet! Standing on the board, watching all the beautiful corals below me and riding all the waves!!! The SUP surf hooked me since the first wave and forever! Since that moment I have surfed more than all the years I was trying to surf on normal surfboard and it helped me getting to know the waves better and also built my self confidence in the ocean and my waveriding skills in windsurfing.
Now when I am traveling, I can’t go without my SUP, as it's a perfect way to explore all the coastlines and get to places you cannot go by car.

Competition ranking you’re most proud of:

3rd Expo SUP Surf

Your favourite contest and why:

I haven’t been in many contest yet, but I really enjoyed the EXPO SUP in Cadiz. From the World Tour, the Abu Dhabi seems to be an awesome event as well!

Your favourite SUP adventure:

Every single session is awesome! Probably my best days were during this winter in South Spain, in Caños de Meca I got to ride really nice a long peeling waves to the left and right!! Like a dream!

Number one on your bucket list:

Regarding to SUP, what I would really love is to do a trip where I can sup every morning in clean and long waves, with not many people. As a windsurfer, used to be on windy conditions, felling the ride on glassy waters is always a great feeling! I would really like to go to one of those destinations that you can improve so quick!

Soundtrack of your life:

1. When I was teenager, Lagwagon-“Making friends”, was motivating me!
2. During my twenties, Pink Floyd – “High hopes” was my every morning song.
3. Now I really enjoy The Do- “Dust it off”

I love…

SUP for me is like…

..something that can make me stay on the water all day long till I can’t move anymore!

If you were a hotdog and you were starving, would you eat yourself?

But organic hotdog? haha

If you could be another person for a day, who would you be?

Kai Lenny!

What’s your favorite board in the Fanatic Range and which size do you ride?

For SUP surfing I use the PROWAVE LTD 7’11’’, it is a good compromise between balance and performance and I feel super comfortable on it in all conditions.
My SUP for cruising around is the Fly Air Premium. I could never imagine I was going to enjoy the sea so much when it is flat and no wind! Since I use it My days at the water changed to almost every day!
