INFO

When and where did you start Wing Foiling? I started with my mum and dad in January 2020 in Guadeloupe, it was a new sensation, different from kite foiling or wind foiling, I became immediately addicted to it!

What’s your watersports history – from which side did you enter Winging? I started surfing when I was 4 and my mum taught me windsurfing after school when I was 6. She wanted me to learn sailing so I raced in optimist from 9 to 12 at a national level. During that time, I also learnt to kitesurf et kitefoil. Last year, I was part of the young Guadeloupe team for kite foiling. Since we moved to Saint Barthélemy, I go wing foiling and surfing in my free time.

What do you love about Wing Foiling? I really love the fact that the gear is quite light, it allows me to jump high and try new tricks. The feeling in the waves are amazing. I also love to go fast on the water !

What’s your favourite conditions? For Freestyle 15 knots and bump and jump conditions with my Unit 3 m2 and for wave riding 2 meters waves and 20 knots with my Unit 2,5m2.

What’s your top advice for a beginner? Spend some time on land to understand how the wing works, before going on the water. That is really important to train on land otherwise you will spend your first lesson falling in the water and struggling to get back on it ! My best advice is to wear protection on your knees in warm water !
